Vedanga meaning in Vedic astrology: limb of the Vedas

'Vedic' means 'pertaining to the Vedas', so the Vedangas are fields of study attached to the Vedas.

Jyotish, the Vedic astrology you see at Skybond, is counted as a Vedanga. In that context it is called a 'limb of the Vedas' and is said to be 'the eye of the Vedas'.
