Editorial standards and corrections
Every Learn lesson is drafted by AI from a fact pack of sourced statements, then fact-checked against those sources, checked against writing and safety rules, and edited before publishing. Confirmed errors are fixed on the page and listed in a public corrections log.

Before thisAbout Skybond: who makes it and what it does
What these standards cover
These standards apply to the Learn lessons, the glossary and the transit event pages.
Which pages are checked, and which are not
The Learn lessons, the glossary entries and the transit event pages all follow the process described on this page.
The personal articles inside the Skybond app are different. They are generated by AI and are not reviewed by a human before you read them.
The AI disclaimer explains how those articles are made.
Where the words come from
Each lesson is built from a fact pack of sourced statements, and every page lists its sources.
The main texts behind the lessons
A fact pack is a list of statements, each tagged with its source. Lessons are written from the fact pack only, so each claim on a page has a source.
The main sources are Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra (BPHS, a classical text, in R. Santhanam's translation), P.V.R. Narasimha Rao's Vedic Astrology: An Integrated Approach, and B.V. Raman's Hindu Predictive Astrology.
Some pages also use Light on Life, Saravali or Phaladeepika where their material fits.
Each page names its sources under 'Sources for this page', so you can see exactly which texts a lesson draws on.
How a lesson is made
An AI model drafts each lesson from its fact pack alone, then the draft is checked and edited before publishing.
The five steps, in order
The stepper above shows the five steps in order.
-
The fact pack is assembled, with sourced statements only.
-
An AI model drafts the lesson from the fact pack, and from nothing else.
-
The draft is fact-checked: every quote and number is compared with the source.
-
A guidelines check covers wording, claims and safety rules.
-
The draft is edited, then published.
Every Learn page ends with the note: 'Drafted with AI from verified sources, fact-checked and edited by Skybond before publishing.'
Conventions and disagreements
P.V.R. Narasimha Rao's tables are the default reference, and disagreements between texts are shown rather than settled.
How Skybond handles differing views
When a page relies on tables or standard values, P.V.R. Narasimha Rao's (PVR's) tables are the default.
Where another text differs, the page says 'Other texts differ' and gives each view with its source. No view is picked as the winner.
Skybond's own chart settings are stated wherever they matter: the sidereal zodiac (signs fixed to the stars), the True Chitra Paksha ayanamsa (the offset between tropical and sidereal zodiacs), whole-sign houses (each house is a whole sign) and mean nodes.
Transit dates come from Skybond's transit data and are given in Indian Standard Time (IST). Sample charts are computed with the same settings.
Western astrology is described as a different system with its own conventions, not as an inferior one.
What Learn does not do
Learn pages do
Quote and attribute classical texts; say where texts differ; state Skybond's settings
Learn pages do not
Predict, time health or death, sell remedies, or call a planet good or bad for you
Learn pages teach. They do not predict, time health or death, sell remedies, or call a planet good or bad for you.
The lines the lessons stay behind
Learn pages do not make predictions about the reader. They do not time health, death or longevity, and they do not offer remedies or gemstones.
They also avoid 'good planet' or 'bad planet' verdicts on a person.
Classical texts contain character descriptions. When a lesson quotes one, it is framed as traditional and general, with B.V. Raman's caution that such descriptions 'are only general in nature and should not be applied hastily'.
The two cards above summarise what Learn pages do and do not do.
