Something in you is pushing back

There is a difference between keeping the peace and keeping yourself hidden. Lately that line feels thinner than usual.

And underneath all of it, something about your own shape in the world feels up for negotiation. You catch yourself performing even when you're alone. Adjusting. Edging toward whoever's in the room. The cost of that flexibility is showing up somewhere. Maybe in your shoulders. Maybe in the way you answer the phone.

You are allowed to want something different than what keeps everyone comfortable.

This is not about blowing anything up. It is about noticing where you've been small to stay safe, and whether that safety still fits. Some doors need to stay closed. But check which ones you locked from the inside.

The practical posture: name one thing before the other person has to ask. One preference. One boundary. One true sentence about what you actually need. Start with the smallest version. The practice matters more than the scope. You are learning that intensity and care can coexist — that you can bring the full weight of your wanting into a room without breaking what you love.
